He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emily Lenora Hornsby Lucas and William Jones Lucas; his wife Joan Genobles Lucas; his daughter Ami Lucas Horton (Chet) of Camden; his grandchildren, Lucas Reed Horton and Annah Elizabeth Horton of Camden; his sisters, Dale Lucas West (David) of Camden, Ellen Lucas Hancock (Tony) of Lugoff, Alison Lucas Boling of Camden and Jerri Hornsby; and his brother-in-law Bill Boling. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Camden High School Baseball Team.
