She was predeceased by: her parents, Serre D. Blackwell and Mary Blackwell; and her daughter Josephine Shannon Tyler. She is survived by: her husband J. Frederic "Fritz" Rench; her daughters, Cathryn Rench, Mary Rench and Emily Montgomery (Arthur); her grandchildren, Heloise, Camille, Lucie (Chris), Antoine, Maxime, Jean, Ian (Georgie), Shannon (Aaron), Duncan, Charlotte, Emma and Josephine (Matt); and her sisters, Josephine Kershaw Barlow and Charlotte Douglas Riley (Joseph P., Jr.). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
