She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Reynolds Boykin and William J. Sowell; her children, Dianne S. Beck and Charles F. Sowell; and her brothers, T. O. Boykin, Jr. and Marion D. Boykin.
She is survived by: her children, Boykin Sowell (Jan) of Lugoff, Tavane Reposa (Ken) of Camden and Eve Glezen (John) of Woodbine, MD; her children-in-law, Larry Beck (Suzanne) of Camden and Renee Sowell of Irmo; her grandchildren, Skeet Sowell, William Beck, Boyd Sowell, Matt Sowell, Jess Sowell, Rebecca Kelly, Charlie Sowell, Mary Roby, Linda Roby, Timothy Webb, Jeri Worley, Kenny Reposa, Lisa Pont-Briand and Cheryl Nye; and her daughter Ona Pitzer (John). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
