She was predeceased by: her parents, George Grant (Josh) and Emma Halley Grant; her husband Deacon Willie Ellis; her stepson Willie Ellis Jr.; and her siblings, George Jr., Charles, Joseph, Burl, Elisha Grant, Millie Grant, Ella Mae Grant, Janie Grant-Flower and Catherine Grant-Coleman.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry Whitehead of Far Rockaway and Deacon Jerry; her stepdaughters, Lottie B. Ellis of New York and Sara Ellis of Tampa Florida; her sisters-in-law, Sarah Ellis and Mary Smallwood (Anthony) of Roosevelt; her granddaughters, Jerrica Onieka Whitehead of Florence, SC and Chelsea Oan Whitehead of West Columbia, SC.; and her great grandchild Chandler Owen Whitehead of West Columbia, SC. She is also survived by family member and friends.
