He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander M. Rogers and Olivia H. Rogers; his daughter Angela Hancock; and his stepchildren, William Truesdale, Margaret Trimnal and Vickie Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Croft Rogers; his children, Rhonda Lynn Bermudez (Alex), Mary Jo Farley (Al) and Van "David" Rogers (Rachel); and his stepchildren, Talley Truesdale, Jr. (Maryann) and Nelson Truesdale. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
