He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Oday Hinson, Sr. and Ethel Lee Dunn Hinson; his siblings, Roger Hinson, Rusty Hinson, Sylvia Beckham and Linda Day; and his siblings-in-law, James Beckham and Judy Hinson.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Hinson; his children, Chris Hinson and Monica Hinson; his grandchildren, Ainsley Hinson and Alyssa Hinson; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Day and Gail Hinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
