She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Horace Boykin and Evelina Boykin; her children, Francine Nelson Cooke and George "Butch" Nelson, Jr.; her brothers, Henry Boykin, Jeff Boykin, Sr. and Levy Boykin; her stepdaughter Molly Jones Haynesworth; her siblings, Frank Boykin and Josephine Cox; her husband George "Hood" Nelson, Sr.; her daughters, Ida Nelson Bracey (Leroy) of North Brunswick, NJ, Cora Nelson Thompson (Richard) of Piscataway, NJ, Marie Nelson Butler of Camden, SC and Lynette Nelson Miles (Willie) of Lugoff, SC; her stepdaughter Mollye Jones Haynesworth; and her godchildren, Dionne Thomas and Thomas Bracey. She was also cherished by great-grands; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
