He is survived by: his wife Martha Eckert Black; his children, Jamie Hall (Thomas), Juelian Leon "Tripp" Black (Billie) and Joshua Black (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Rhaegan, Ryanne, Channing, Camryn, Chad and Wyatt; and his siblings, Cindy Perry (Steve) and Kenneth Black.

The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 1301 Mill Street, Camden, SC 29020.
