He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Hornsby and Hattie Mae Drakeford; his wife Ruby Hodges Hornsby; his daughter Ginger Rockefeller (Charles); his grandchildren, Dylan Joseph Moss, Cole Maston Moss and Rebecca Bourgette Greer; his sister Emily Lucas; his sons, Cole Joseph Hornsby and Owen "Sonny" Greer; and his siblings, Jewell Price, Chalmers Hornsby, Eloise Gardner and Teddy Hornsby. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
