He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "JB" Cantey Jr. and Harriet Beard Cantey; and his sister Mary C. Mercurio. He is survived by: his wife Amy T. Cantey; his children, Ashley Anne Cantey and Joseph "JB" Cantey IV; his grandsons, Teague, Benjamin and Rory Cantey; his sister Louise C. Myers; and also Leticia Cantey.
