He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Brazell; his parents, Jesse Albert and Virginia Wilson Brazell; his daughter Janet Brazell Bogart; and his sister Carolyn Hinson.

He is survived by: his sons, Jesse Franklin Brazell, Jr. (Tina) of Cassatt and Christopher Dean Brazell of Camden; his son-in-law Rick Bogart of Camden; his siblings, William Brazell (Ann) and Doris Brazell (Wayne); his brother-in-law Ernie Hinson; his grandsons, Trey Brazell (Danielle), Ryan Brazell, Drew Brazell, Eric Bogart, Zack Brazell and Nick Bogart; and his close friend Mary Truesdale.
