He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Hayes; his sons, Nevin Hayes (Sania) of Harrisburg and Marcus Hayes (Danielle) of Charlotte; his siblings, Lillie Mae Boykin (Herbert) of Camden and Earl Hayes, Jr. of Camden; his grandsons, Nevin of Harrisburg and Shawn Hayes of Harrisburg; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Hayes (Gina) of California, Earl Hayes, III of Camden, Kenton Hayes of Charlotte, Alton McDow of Atlanta, Georgia, Toni Boykin of Columbia and Ivy Fowler of Columbia.
