She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard R. Short and Heda Hall Short; and her sister Connie Jeffers. She is survived by: her husband Col. Richard G. Rounseville; her daughters, Spring R. Sinden of Puyallup, WA and Robin R. Waterman (Randy) of Cassatt, SC; her grandchildren, Jonas Bateman, Milo Bateman, Chaslee Basile, Byron Sinden and Andrea Sinden; and her sister Stevie Nicholas (Richard) of Amissville, VA.. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
