He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Mae Skinner and Murray Johnson; his son Charles L. Johnson; and his siblings, Welburn, Cecil, Calbert Johnson, Maenell Newman and Rosa Lee Caulder.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Smith Johnson (Kitty); his children, Kay Martin of Lugoff, SC, Richard Johnson (Anna) of Simpsonville, SC, William Johnson (Bill) of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Johnson of Anderson, SC and Mike Johnson (Carrie) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his sister Joyce Foxworth of Lexington, SC.; and his grandchildren, Shaun, Clint, Andrew, Justin, Katie, Nicole, Kyle, Zach and Jennifer.
