He is survived by: his wife Ethel "Brenda" Cook Kersey; his sons, Earl Jerry Kersey, III (Cindy), David Lyn Kersey (Lori) and Ernest Dean Kersey (Krista); and his siblings, Edward Kersey, Kenneth Kersey, Geraldine Whitten, Katie Peebles and Paula Bare. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
