He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Bowers and Annie Powers Bowers; his wife Evelyn; his daughter Linda Bowers Shaw; his siblings, Alby W. Bowers, Stephen "Skinny" Bowers, Iva L. Bowers and Peggy "Nancy" Bowers Fitzgerald; and his grandson Denis Michael Mooneyhan.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca "Becky" Bowers Mooneyhan of Camden, Julie Bowers Moniot (Daniel) of Greenville, SC and Stephen R. Bowers of Camden; his grandchildren, Lori Fleenor Young, Sandra Shaw (Keith Dixon), Brian Bowers (Cas Gally), Kevin Bowers, Jennifer Mooneyhan, Shannon Mooneyhan Campbell, Steven Mooneyhan (Jessica), Alyson Mooneyhan Clisby (Chris) and Sarah Moniot; his great grandchildren, True Young Boyd (Michael), Lauryn Young, Sierra Simms, Tripp Johnson, Sydney Campbell, Jake Campbell, Shawn Corbett, Emma Mooneyhan, Lucas Mooneyhan and Wilder Gally-Bowers; his great great grandchildren, Rowan Uher and Oliver Boyd; and his siblings, Georgette "Bay" Bowers Maksin of Camden, Catherine Bowers Hobek of Annandale, Virginia and Joseph "Joe" Bowers (Betty) of Kershaw.
