He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hinson Watkins; his children, Bodie Watkins (Kristin) and Megan Watkins Rodgers (Michael); his grandchildren, Tucker Rodgers, Easton Watkins, Trotter Rodgers, Ellie Rodgers, Miller Rose and Luke Richardson; and his sister Gail Watkins Horton.
