She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ruth Augusta Caudle (Sam), Henry Franklin Bodford (Elsie), Mary Aileen Simpson (Elmer), Harvie Bodford, Lindsay (Tip), Odell Bodsford (Garnett), Mildred Victoria Miles (Sam), Andrew Grady Bodsford (Marceleen) and Bobby Gray.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Mae and Bobby Gray; her husband Henry Abraham Whitman; her daughters, Robin Whitman Brittain and Dr. Debbie Whitman Herman; her sons-in-law, Kenneth Herman and Rickie Brittain; her granddaughters, Dr. Emily Huggins (Bobby), Olivia Cobb (Shaun) and Mariah Brittain; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt Cobb, Madelyn Huggins, Gavin Cobb and Mason Huggins. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Betty lived a blessed life filled with love from her parents and seven siblings (one infant brother died in 1917 from the flu pandemic).
