He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Edwin Dumont, Sr. and Eileen Rita Parsons; his wife Carole Jean Grizzell; his former wife Dianne Dumont (Willis); and his daughters, Susan Ann Raihala (George) and Lisa Ann Dumont (Tom McCarthy). He was also cherished by five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to Camden Military Academy.
