He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Hester and Rosa Lucille Mobley Lovette; his son Brian N. Lovette; his grandson Jeffrey Taylor; and his siblings, Carol L. Calhoun, Jean L. Schwing, Sylvia A. Lovette and Ronald Lovette.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Medlin Lovette; and his children, Alan R. Lovette, Jr. (Lisa) of Rock Hill and Alicia L. Wilson of Camden. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund.
