She was predeceased by: her parents, Aimee Urquhart and Jesse T. Reese, Jr.; and her husband John D. Kornegay. She is survived by: her children, Aimee "Petey" Kornegay Nelson (Brian) of Virginia, Van Metre Kornegay and John Dunbar Kornegay, Jr.; her siblings, Judith Reese Nye of Columbia, SC, Mary Reese Burnside of Blythewood, SC and Jesse T. Reese, III of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Aimee Davy (Bill), John Anderson Thompson, III (Kat), James Kornegay Thompson (Addie), John Dunbar Kornegay, III and Mary Reese "Reesie" Kornegay Maracich (Eddie); her great grandchildren, Anderson, Mary Addis, Pierce Thompson, Louise, Hardy Thompson, Masey and Ford Maracich; and her caregivers, Codi, Dorothy, Lameka and Tee.
