She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Heiji Tanaka and Chiyo Tanaka; her husband James Taggart Hester (Jim) of Calhoun Falls; her children, James Robert (Lynne Rankin Hester), Rebecca Hester Compton, George McCelvey (Holly Marlatt Hester) and Mark (Lena Hester Miller); her grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer Hester Geary, Christopher Hester, Emily Compton, Nicolas, Tara Lenk, Anderson Hester (Andy), Thomas Wood and Cecelia Wood; her great grandchildren, Savannah, Taggart, Lorelei Geary and Helo Lenk; and her siblings, Shigemitsu Tanaka, Chie Adachi and Kikue Koizumi.
