It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oliver D. McCurry Sr. of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, born in Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. McCurry and Loretta Hartsell McCurry; and his sister Charlene Hedden. He is survived by: his wife Mary Allison McCurry; his children, Oliver 'Dean McCurry, Jr., Jacob D. McCurry of Calhoun Falls, SC, Sherri Bowie (Rod) of Elberton, GA and Jennifer Gordon (Clyde) of Abbeville, SC; his sisters, Nancy 'Ginny McCurry Vann of Abbeville, SC and Julia Vermillion (Robert) of Donalds, SC; his grandchildren, Evan Bowie, Maggee Bowie, Ashlyn Gordon, Caleb Gordon and Lucas Gordon; his great grandchild Colton; his nephew Chuck Nash of Abbeville; and his pet Buster.
