He is survived by: his wife Mary Allison McCurry; his children, Oliver 'Dean McCurry, Jr., Jacob D. McCurry of Calhoun Falls, SC, Sherri Bowie (Rod) of Elberton, GA and Jennifer Gordon (Clyde) of Abbeville, SC; his sisters, Nancy 'Ginny McCurry Vann of Abbeville, SC and Julia Vermillion (Robert) of Donalds, SC; his grandchildren, Evan Bowie, Maggee Bowie, Ashlyn Gordon, Caleb Gordon and Lucas Gordon; his great grandchild Colton; his nephew Chuck Nash of Abbeville; and his pet Buster.
