It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther V. Rudder Jr. of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his spouse Rethia Elaine Olgiati Rudder; his parents, L. V. Rudder, Sr. and Frances Cobb Rudder; his son Sgt. Terry V. Rudder; and his sisters, Lexie Blackman, Alice Mae Boggs and Margaret'Peachy'Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Casey Rudder (Sarah) of Calhoun Falls and Jerri McDonald (Steve) of Antreville; his siblings, Steve Rudder of Calhoun Falls, Mary Staples of Greenwood and Shirley Smith (Smitty) of Elberton; his grandchildren, Tierra Rudder, Traci Rudder, Holly Turman, Brandi Alewine (Garren), Caitlyn Fuller (Andy), Tanner Alewine and Ashley Rivas (Brian); and his daughter-in-law Priscilla Belton Rudder. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
