She was predeceased by: her parents, Porter B. Alewine and Lottie Young Alewine; her spouse T. E. Holmes; her children, Terry (Pistol Ball Simpson), Danny Simpson, Tony Holmes and Sherry Simpson; and her sister Annie Lee O'Quinn.
She is survived by: her son Brian Holmes (Danya) of Beaufort, SC; and her grandson Devon Holmes of Abbeville, SC..
