It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Rudder of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arturo Olgiati and Gladys Jones Olgiati; her son Sgt. Terry V. Rudder; and her sisters, Peggy Joslyn and Toni Sword.
She is survived by: her husband Luther V. Rudder, Jr.; her children, Casey Rudder (Sarah) of Calhoun Falls and Jerri McDonald (Steve) of Antreville; her grandchildren, Tierra Rudder, Traci Rudder, Holly Turman (Robert), Brandi Alewine (Garren), Caitlyn Fuller (Andy), Tanner Alewine and Ashley Rivas (Brian); and her daughter-in-law Priscilla Belton Rudder of Calhoun Falls. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (526 E Savannah St, Calhoun Falls, SC 29628). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (2699 SC-72, Abbeville, SC 29620).
