Betty Loftis Sammons Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Loftis Sammons of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her spouse Lloyd'Bo'Sammons, Jr.; her parents, Evans Loftis and Lula Mae Watkins Loftis; her great great grandchild Thomas Gray Sammons; and her siblings, Joseph M. Loftis, Billy'Goat'Loftis, Aileen Nixon, Claytie Mae McNeil, Mary Ann Breedlove, Elizabeth Purdy, Tabatha'Toby'Thompson and Jewel Grace Botts.
She is survived by: her children, Donna S. Lewis (Johnny) of Greenwood, SC, Lloyd E. Sammons, III (Rose) of Abbeville, David S. Sammons (Karen) of Grovetown, GA, Mark L. Sammons (Lisa) and Kenneth L. Sammons (Krista) of Abbeville; and her sister-in-law Gerry Loftis of Atlanta. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Abbeville - Harris Funeral Home (302 N Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (2699 SC-72, Abbeville, SC 29620).
