He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Powell and Evelyn Dukes Powell; and his sister Fran Skvanek. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Stanton Powell of Cades; his sons, Christopher Powell of Cades, Joey Powell (Becky) of Timmonsville and Corey Powell of Cades; his sister Bridgette Powell Coker of Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Tray Dennis of Cades, Rees Powell of Timmonsville, Kierston Powell of Timmonsville, Austin Powell of Cades and Andrew Powell of Cades; and his caregivers, Melissa Hucks and Tabitha Powell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Terrell's Church of God of Prophecy (1109 New Zion Rd, Lake City, SC 29560). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the Sandy Bay Cemetery.
