He was predeceased by: his parents, James Christopher "Jimmy" Carsten and Ida Sauls Carsten; and his sister Jerri McCutcheon. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Carsten of Cades; his sons, Jamie Carsten (Miriam) of Florence and Kevin Carsten (Katie) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Cameron Carsten, Landry Carsten, Greta Carsten and Henry Carsten; his stepgrandchildren, Alex, Peyton and Ellie; and his sister Anne McClary (Lynn) of Cades. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
