He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Kinard and Lucille Johnson Kinard. He is survived by: his siblings, Rusty Kinard, Clay Kinard (Tammy) and Deb Burch (Bert); his fiancée Mary Ellen Stanley; his fiancée's children, Olivia and J. J.; his nieces and nephews, Jor, Mary Elizabeth, Matthew (Heather), Kelsey (Thomas) and Michael (Anna Grace); and his great-niece Coral.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to: American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to the Wild Turkey Federation (WTF), Post Office Box 530, Edgefield, SC 29824-0530.
