He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie A. Bowers and Roberta Jarrell Bowers; his brothers, Willis Bowers, Carlton Bowers and Jimmy Lee Bowers; his siblings-in-law, Jacob L. "Tuda" Jarrell, Cathy Bowers Pope and Joanne Bowers; and his nephew Anthony Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Cook Bowers; his siblings, Redmond Bowers of Allendale and Linda Kay Jarrell of Hampton; his sisters-in-law, Jackie Bowers of Hilda and Pat Bowers of Barnwell; his niece Annette Griswold of Brunson; his nephew Jeremy Bowers of Hampton; his friends, Edward, Allison Anderson, Phillip and Megan Nix of Brunson; and his great-nephews, A. J. Bowers of Aiken and Kyle Bowers of Florida. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
The family requests, that those who wish, may send memorials in Wayne's name to the Nixville Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
