He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean Stanley Gosnell; his parents, Benjamin Jerome Gosnell and Julia Owen Gosnell; and his son Michael Anthony Gosnell. He is survived by: his son Peter Jerome "Jerry" Gosnell, Jr. (Karen) of Hampton; his granddaughters, Kayla Elizabeth Gosnell and Marianna Charlotte Gosnell; his close friend Virginia Sumler; his sister Ann Gosnell of Hendersonville; and his nephews, Ryan and David.
