She was predeceased by: her husband Otis Herbert Hadwin, Sr.; her parents, James Earl Dempsey and Sarah Frances Heape Dempsey; and her siblings-in-law, Leah Hadwin Tuten and Grover Hadwin.
She is survived by: her children, Otis Herbert "Odie" Hadwin, Jr. (Tammy) of Brunson and Melanie Elizabeth Hadwin Crews (Windell) of Hampton; her grandchildren, Dakota Hadwin (Tiffany), Dalton Hadwin (Sydni), Mallory Crews Hazel (Michael) and Houston Crews; her great grandchildren, Crews Elizabeth Hazel and Liam Wilson Hadwin; her siblings, Helen Tuten of Varnville, Margaret Mathis (I. W.) of Hampton, Betty Terry (Bert) of Hampton and Willie Dempsey (Cathy) of Early Branch; and her sister-in-law Reba Hadwin Robertson (Otis Lee Robertson) of Summerville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
