He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Norton and Trannie Norton; his wife Rose Marie "Boots" Norton; and his siblings, Hazel Perry (Royce), Mildred Poole (Tony), Irma Lee Day (Kenneth), Delmas Norton and Charles Norton (Iris).
He is survived by: his children, Daniel E. Norton (Catherine), Melody R. Summers (Sheckie), Alma "Darlene" Horne (Doug) and Vernon "Dell" Norton Jr. (Robin Polk). He is also survived by grandchildren.
