With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sammie Lavern Ruple of Branchville, South Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammie Ruple and Jessie Belle Ruple. He is survived by: his wife Libby Ruple; his daughters, Kristen Ecklar (James) and Jenifer Terry (Rodney); his siblings, Horace Ruple (Edith), Norman Ruple and Ann Blakeman; his grandchildren, Cody Zimbro, Jessie Zimbro, Elizabeth Ecklar, Micaela Hoffmann (Will) and Joshua Ecklar; and his great grandchildren, John, Jackson, Jordan Hoffmann and Nola Zimbro.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ott Funeral Home (7305 Freedom Rd, Branchville, SC 29432). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Branchville Christian Church (6907 Freedom Rd, Branchville, SC 29432).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105), Samaritan's Purse (PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607), or other charity of choice.
