With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marion Fairey Knight of Branchville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Norman "Red" Fairey and Florence Maggie Jones Fairey; and her brother Norman Lewis "Bubba" Fairey. She is survived by: her husband Neville Harris Knight; her daughter Florence Michelle Knight; her son-in-law Gene Lightfoot of Branchville, SC; her daughter Marion Gwyn Knight of Staunton, VA; her grandchildren, Joshua Harrison Knight of Las Vegas, NV, Kaylee Ford Bibler (Preston) of West Ashley, SC and Gracelyn Elaine Mercer of North Charleston, SC.; her sister-in-law Sara Carson Fairey of St. Matthews, SC; and her friends, Gene and Michelle Lightfoot. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ott Funeral Home (7305 Freedom Rd, Branchville, SC 29432). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Branchville Baptist Church (691 Ott St, Branchville, SC 29432).
