It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Dukes Edwards of Branchville, South Carolina, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Dukes Edwards and Ruth Irick Edwards; and his sister Doris Baltzegar of Denmark, SC.. He is survived by: his daughters, Melanie Dawes of Chapel Hill, N. C. and Shannon Watford of Orangeburg, S. C.; his grandsons, Wesley Watford and Griffin Dawes; his sisters, Sadie Shuler (Reggie) of Bowman and Ann Epps of Orangeburg; and his pet Happy.
