He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Bethea and Ethel Lee Glover Bethea; and his siblings, Mary Lee Bethea and Donald Bethea. He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Bethea (Patricia) of Branchville, Linda Phillips (Lester) of Columbia and Diane E. Bethea of Orangeburg; his stepson Bruce Douglas; his uncle Vernon Glover of Detroit; and his aunt Elizabeth Harrison of Detroit. He is also survived by three step grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
