He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Miller Witherspoon and Fannie Melva Hodge of Sumter; and his in-laws, D. B. and Carol Williams of Branchville. He is survived by: his wife Terry; his children, Caitlyn Frayard (Travis), Chris Carter (Lori), Courtney Beeks (Ethan), Ashleigh Staley and Elizabeth Johnson (Joshua); his grandchildren, Autumn, Hunter Carter, Carter, Ayden Beeks, Joseph, Matthew Staley, Samuel Johnson, Ellis and Avery Frayard; his great grandchildren, Oaklynn, Adalynn Ayer and Raelynn Carter; and his siblings, John Witherspoon (Linda), Olga Ann Gallo, Barbara Beck, Vickie Gomez and James Bryant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ott Funeral Home (7305 Freedom Rd, Branchville, SC 29432). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Branchville Christian Church (6907 Freedom Rd, Branchville, SC 29432).
