He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Stancil and Irene Gilstrap; his son William Christopher "Chris" Stancil, III; his grandchildren, Shawn Brown, Addilyn Broad and Peyton Broad; and his siblings, Helen Goss, Mary Davis, Shelby Long, Charles Stancil and Harold Stancil.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Dukes Stancil; his children, Wimberly "Kyle" Stancil (Lalita), Kimberly Elaine Broad (Wayne) and Janice A. (Todd); his daughter-in-law Stephanie Stancil; his grandchildren, Elias Stancil, Jacob, Kinsley, Kaylee Broad, Breana Kurts, Christina Brown, Emma, Ava Stancil and Tyler Rodenberger; and his sisters, Margaret Tedder and Gail Flake.
