She was predeceased by: her father Ervin Wesley Tidwell; and also, Marilyn Powell Collins (late Carroll), Richard Tidwell and Wesley Tidwell. She is survived by: her mother Linnie Gann; her nieces, Gail Goins and Sheryl McPherson; her husband Robert Dempsey Sr.; her children, Bridgette Sanchez and David; her grandchildren, Wesley Sanchez (Heidi) of Beaufort, SC, Josh Sanchez (Dena) of Hardeeville, SC, Celeste Bean (Michael) of Richmond Hill, Adam Pittman, Ashley Dempsey (Darin Milligan) of Georgia and Michael Dempsey of Bluffton; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Emily, Lizzy, Olivia, Annabel, Mary, Wyatt, Nolan, Conrad, Abel, Adalynn, Dalton, Landon, Connor, Zachary and Aubree; her uncle George; her nieces, Tina Wiggins and Denise Dempsey; her caregivers, Diane, Tina and Melissa; her aunt Marilyn; and also, Herschel Tidwell (late Mary), Jerry Tidwell (Linda), Roger Tidwell (Patricia), Mary Ann Johnson (late Allan), David Tidwell (Bud) and Lance Tidwell (Karri).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Edisto Baptist Church (4831 Edisto River Rd, Branchville, SC 29432). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
