He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Shumaker and Bertha Arant Shumaker; his children, Janie Henderson and Willis Shumaker, Jr.; and his grandsons, Glenn Allen Keller and Claude "Bubba" Willis Smoak.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Nettles Shumaker; his children, Lynn Weston (Randy) of Flowood, MS, Janet Murray (Scotty) of Branchville, S. C., Randy Hardee (Christy) of Loris, S. C. and Vickie Sutcliffe (Chris) of Orangeburg; and his grandchildren, Jarod Weston, Forrest Sutcliffe, Amanda Turner (Mickey), Tanner Shumaker, Willis Shumaker, III (Amber), Haven Hardee, Harmoney Hardee, Kristina Hardee and Olivia Hardee.
