He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Rast (Billy) and Bessie Rast; and his siblings, Lide, Lee, Rachael and Angie Rast.

He is survived by: his son William (Susannah); his grandchildren, Amelia Surak (Phillip), Caroline Abdullah (Zaid) and Annah Rast; and his niece Holly Lawrence. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
