He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Rhett, Sr. and Janie Kelly Rhett; his significant other Catherine Jones Rhett; and his siblings, Oscar Rhett (Bujie), Sisroe Rhett (Suggie), John Hardy, Charlie Rhett (CH), Janie Lee Rhett Carn, Lillian Rhett Cord and Ruby Lee Rhett Kelly.
He is survived by: his children, Earnestine Austin (Roosevelt) of Columbia, SC, Clarine Glover of Capital Heights, MD, James Jones, Walter, Roger Jones of Bowman, SC, William Jones and John Jones (Mary) of Columbia, SC.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
