Fernand Lagasse Obituary
Fernand Joseph Lagasse, 70, of Bonneau Beach, a retired self-employed machinist, died Saturday evening at his residence.
His funeral will be 7:00 PM Tuesday evening, August 31, 2021, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 PM until the hour of service Tuesday.
One of sixteen children, Mr. Lagasse was born October 18, 1950, in Madawaska, Maine, a son of Henry Lagasse and Dorilda Dionne Lagasse. He attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic church, Bonneau, and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Lagasse loved playing his guitar, singing and working on cars. He was a great man, a wonderful and passionate person, and the rock of his family.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Joyce Hitchcock Lagasse; his daughter, Michelle Lagasse of Bonneau Beach; his son, Steven Lagasse of Bonneau Beach; seven sisters, Angela Clavet, Florence DeCroix, Irene Lagasse, Pauline Woods, Linda LaFleur, Rachel LaBreck, and Annette Lagueux; six brothers, Bert Lagasse, Roland Lagasse, Gilman Lagasse, Roger Lagasse, Jimmy Lagasse, and Camile Lagasse; and one granddaughter, Mariyah Appleby of East Hartford, Conn.
