It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cora Mae Welch (Bonneau, South Carolina), who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Fort and Janie Mae Hood Fort; her children, Linda Welch Way and Ransom J. "Randy" Welch, Jr.; her brothers, Dolan Fort and Martin Fort; and her spouse Ransom J. Welch, Sr..
She is survived by: her daughter Janie Lewis (Kim) of Martinez, GA; her son-in-law Derrick Way of St. Stephen; her sister Ada Giggleman of Bonneau; her grandchildren, J. Dwayne Welch (Jill), Ransom J. "Jay" Welch III, Phillip Lewis and Nicole Lewis Dyches (Scott); and her great grandchildren, Caroline, Ransom, Sophie and Landin.
