He is survived by: his wife Sally Hedleston; his son David Charles Hedleston of Bonneau Beach, SC; his stepchildren, Rebecca Gaines, Karen Ann Taylor, Martin R. Mitchell III and Catherine Ann Mitchell; his son-in-law Roscoe P. Brice; and his grandchildren, Richard Stephens, Christopher Stephens, Elizabeth Dove, Garhett Mitchell and Matt Mitchell. He is also survived by seven great- grandchildren.
