He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Pete and Joan Winters Pruitt; his siblings, Royce Ann Pruitt, Nancy Pruitt Hall and Michael Howard Pruitt; and his pets, Cocky, Blue and Chrissy.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Pruitt Caywood and Charles Edward Pruitt; his extended family, Charlie Cook (Joann), Ray Comer (Tessa), Matt Yarchuck (Michelle) and Philipp Hudak (Christina); and his pets, Kitty, Ying and Honey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, god children.
