With solemn reverence, we commemorate Rochelle Williams Starkey of Blythewood, South Carolina, whose life came to an end on February 12, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George M. Williams and Thelma Jordan Williams; her husband James Franklin Starkey (Jim); her son-in-law Randall Roberts; and her siblings, George Winfred Williams, Charles Lee Williams and Clara Sue Alexander.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janine Rochelle Roberts and Joy Starkey Grainger (Jeremy Grainger); her grandchildren, Alexandra Rochelle Sparks, Amanda Roberts Campbell (Justin), Matthew Roberts (Katie), Mitchell Roberts, Johnny Williams Bowen, Charles Keifer Grainger and Hope Selah Grainger; and her sister-in-law Sarah Rush Williams of Aiken, SC. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shandon Baptist Church (5250 Forest Dr, Columbia, SC 29206). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shandon Baptist Church Missionary Fund or a charity of your choice, honoring Rochelle's lifelong spirit of service and generosity.
